what if?

Ever had any of those weird, delusional questions that randomly pop into your head? I know for sure I have, and they get pretty strange. But do you have an answer that doesn’t sound like a five-year old wrote it? This book by Randall Munroe(cartoonist and former NASA Roboticist) has a compilation of some of the most absurd and hypothetical questions the community has asked, and has some pretty serious scientific answers to each one of them. From questions like “How would a machine-gun jetpack work?” and “How much Force power can Yoda output?”, this book has it all plus the answers! I mean, what more can you ask for? If you’re interested, flip open the cover and discover stick figures, insanely fast baseball pitches, and the answers to most of your crazy questions.

Side note: don’t try anything this book suggests; it will not end well.

Likes: I like this book since it combines real science, hypothetical madness, and stick figures( the only thing I can reliably draw 😛 ) into one big book of fun and explosions. Not only does it draw real scientific conclusions from some weird questions, but it also manages to do so in a humorous way that really engages the reader. Overall, this book has become one of my all-time favorites!

Recommendations: I would recommend this book to anyone above the age of 12, since anyone younger than this would not understand the terminology or concepts and would find this book boring. If you enjoy chaos, science, and/or some really crazy questions, I think you’ll find this book to be really enjoyable.
