Although the world is usually a safe place, there is still quite a lot of bad out there. From serial killers to drug smugglers, the world can also be a place of crime. This book contains some of the most hideous and notorious crimes in the history of the world. From the kidnapping of Charles Lindberg’s son to the Bonnie and Clyde gang, Jack the Ripper and Phoolan Devi (the Bandit Queen), this book covers it all. It has a wide variety of topics including kidnapping and extortion, serial killers to thefts, and the all the way to organized crimes.
Likes: I like this book because it even though it is about crime and most crimes can be pretty violent and gory, it is written in a style suitable for kids. Also, the book gives its readers an idea how strange and murderous some people can be. It is a different yet interesting book. The book is written by contributions from 7 authors and all the stories are true and very interesting.
Recommendation: I recommend this book to kids 11 years and older since it is pretty vivid and some of the details are far too saddening for younger minds.
