Of all the things you might be learning in school, they don’t teach you about poop history. Ever heard of Benjamin Franklin? Sure. But have you even known about John Snow? John Snow was the first person who actually realized that the disease cholera spread through dirty water and NOT through evil spirits in the air. This book teaches you more about him and a lot of other hygiene heroes, and about poop from the ancient Roman times till today’s doo doo. This book is informative and extremely funny. You might find yourself reading it again and again…..but don’t read it on the toilet!!
Likes: I like this book because it has facts about the history of poop, but very funny at the same time. The writing style is very interesting and the author cites examples and anecdotes from history. It is a very different topic!!
Recommendation: I recommend this book to kids ages 9 and above, since it might be too much for younger ones to understand the significance . Also, this book gives information on a topic that most people don’t want to talk about.
