The Day the Crayons Came Home

Plot: This book a sequel to The Day the Crayons Quit by Drew Daywalt. In this book, Duncan was coloring with his crayons when he received a pack of letters from some crayons who were asking him to take them back home. From the maroon crayon, who was, well… marooned in the couch, to the tan or possibly the burnt sienna crayon who was on the rug after being barfed up by the dog, to pea green crayon who decided to run away and see the world, Duncan would find a lot of crayons that he had forgotten and neglected and would soon have to bring home…

Likes: I like this book because the illustrations are very colorful and each crayon has a funny story, such as the neon crayon being stranded in a hotel and traveling back home and the toddler crayon being bitten and stuck up in the cat’s nose. It’s a funny story with lots of colorful pictures.

Recommendation: I recommend this book to 6 years and older kids and anyone who has read the first book, The Day the Crayons Quit. I think kids will love this book and have a great time reading it.
