This book a collection of ten interesting stories that took place in history. From America’s Stonehenge, to the Assassination of President Kennedy, to Where is D.B. Cooper, Where is the Cornerstone of Democracy, Where is Confederate Gold, If President Lincoln Was Ever Apprehended, Why Did Adolf Hitler Want the Spear of Destiny, If Leonardo Da Vinci Predicted the Apocalypse, Is There Any Gold in Fort Knox, and If There UFOs in Area 51. The book talks about each topic and gives accurate description of each one of them. Plus, before each topic there is an envelope that contains facsimile documents for reference. Thats is very fascinating for kids, as they will feel they are touching and reading the original ones!
Likes: I like this book because it includes facsimile documents along with the facts related to each topic. I have not come across many books that have this.For example, the chapter on the Kennedy Assassination has a description of the assassin and what his weapon was. Inside the envelope was facsimile of Kennedy’s death certificate, the assassin’s gun receipt, his Cuba Committee Card and his fake draft card. All of this makes this book very informative, different and interesting.
Recommendation: I recommend this book to kids 9 and older since they will understand it much better than younger ones. Also, the topics might be a little complicated. Anyone who loves history will love this book!
