Plot: This book by Mike Thaler is about a kid named Hubie, who goes to a school with ferocious monsters! He finds out that school was actually better than the summer vacations. Why? Well, because at least he had stuff to do during school, like playing with his friends and doing random stuff. How will he survive this boredom? What does he do during the first few days of summer vacation? Find out in this ridiculously funny book that will make your sides ache! P.S. last time I read this book, it made my stomach come to my throat!!
Likes: I like this book because it has many funny things such as Hubie accidentally creating a bubble monster! It also includes many funny pictures, like Hubie and his dog in a spaceship that’s in the shape of a lemon, and this spaceship is heading towards the sun!
Recommendation: I recommend this book to anyone who has read the firsts Black Lagoon book and enjoys funny stories. I think kids 8 and up will love this book. And here’s something funny about this book- Hubie’s mom hands him a to-do list when he asks for something to do! OK, it’s not too funny, but who wants chores for fun?
