Plot: This book is a sequel to Where the Mountain Meets the Moon by Grace Lin. Pinmei’s grandmother, who is secretly Min Li, always tells the most enchanting and exciting tales to her grand daughter and the many many other villagers. But the peace is not going to be kept for long. One night, the new and rather cruel emperor’s soldiers kidnap the old storyteller leaving Pinmei completely angry and sad. She then embarks on a dangerous and a rather interesting journey to rescue her grandmother with her friend Yishan, who is completely mysterious. Together the duo face obstacles found only and only in myths and prophecies to save the grandmother before time runs out. Tic tock tick tock…….
