This book by Caroline Crosson Gilpin is for level 2 readers. It is a biography. This is a short book, only 30 pages with a lot of drawings that are colorful.The book talks about parts of the lifetime of George Washington and what he did. On the “home again” chapter the book has a timeline of his life.
Likes: I like this book because for once I’ve seen a biography with so many colorful pictures!! Most of them are only black and white. So it was a nice change. I’ve read this book several times, and it’s a level 2 book so I now find it pretty basic and simple.
Recommendation: I recommend this book to younger kids who want to learn about American History and the first president of United States of America.
