This is a book by Swpana Dutta. It is a collection of 18 stories or folktales, from West Bengal, India and a part of which is now Bangladesh. From fairies with rainbow wings, to a king who is acting sick and a silly boy who enters a poetry contest, and many more stories are stuffed in this book!
Likes: I like this book because it is full of stories that are interesting and absorb your mind into it. Also, the stories are very imaginative and creative. They are just for fun.
Recommendation: I recommend this book to anybody who wants to read Indian stories. The text is very mature and the vocabulary is advanced. Kids who have a good understanding and a good vocabulary will enjoy it. Kids who don’t have a great vocabulary yet might need help, but will get to learn and improve their vocabulary. I think kids 8 years and older will enjoy it.
