Plot: This book is by Max Brallier. It’s the apocalypse! Jack is a 13 year old kid who calls himself a post-apocalyptic action hero monster-slayer. He soon finds his friend, Quint, who is always inventing something. Soon, he makes another friend, Dirk during the apocalypse. They form a team and Jack’s main mission is to find and rescue his love interest, June Del Torro. But, there is a monster called Blarg hot on his trail. Even if he rescues June, there won’t be enough time to celebrate because he’s gonna have to slay Blarg, because that’s what monster-slayers do! Will he be able to do it without getting zombified? Likes: I like this book because it is action packed and has cool things like razor frisbees, explosive football launchers, spring shoes and many more cool objects that will keep them going during the apocalypse.
Recommendation: I recommend this book because it has text that’s kind of easy to read, but I would recommend it for kids 8 and above. I also like this book because it has nice illustrations.
